Dream On

Millions of men and women throughout history have had life changing, world changing dreams. Yet millions of dreams have been left to die because not all dreams have been brought into reality due to the failure to act upon them. Dreams can be wonderful and full of world changing potential. But at the same time, many dreams die because all the potential in the world means nothing if action, energy, and boldness cannot be applied to bring the dreams to life.

Dreams need boldness. Dreams need action. Can you imagine where the state of this country would be had Martin Luther King Jr. not acted on his dream? Can you imagine all the hate, arrogance, and venom that would permeate the world if this one man had not been bold enough to stand up for what he believed in, for what he dreamed in his heart should be? The entire world is a better place because of him.

But that is his story and his contribution. What about you? What is your dream? Martin Luther King Jr. is a special man only because he acted on his dreams, his beliefs and his convictions. You, too, were created to be special. You, too, were created to make the world a better place. All of us were made for greatness. None of us are more special than the other, yet each of us are extremely special and each of us are capable of changing the entire world for the better. AND, no one can impact the world in the same way that you were meant to. You were created to dream. You were created to change the world for the better. Only you can fill the role that you were intended to have.

What dreams do you have? What actions do you need to take? The entire world is waiting, hoping, for its dreamers to rise up with boldness and act. Do you have a dream? Don't let it die.

Original Strength has a dream, too. We want to set people free, to set the world free, through movement. We dream of a world where people can live (play, run, jump, smile, move, climb, laugh) without fear of limitation, without fear of injury or inability. We dream of a world filled with capable, able, doers of life, and not watchers of life. I personally dream of a world where a 90 year old is as strong and resilient as a 30 year old. A world where joy and laughter ooze out of people because they are moving (living) with vitality.

We believe we were all created to be strong and resilient, at any age. There is no freedom like the freedom movement gives you. It amplifies all other types of freedom. Can you imagine being free to travel anywhere in the world, without worry of expense, except you were imprisoned in a body that was ravaged by weakness, brokenness, and fear of limitation. Would Hawaii be a true paradise if you could not enjoy it because you were too frail to even walk out on the beach or climb up on the mountain tops? Hawaii would be a prison if you could not experience its beauty. In other words, if you can't move with freedom, you can't live with freedom.

We were created to move with strength, grace, and power throughout our entire lives. We were created to move without a list of rules and algorithms. We were not meant to have rules for how we should move in order not to break ourselves. We create these things out of brokenness. What things could we create out of wholeness? What wonders would we make? What limitations would we have?

We were not meant to be frail. We were meant to be strong. There will be a day when 90 year olds are playing flag football with 20 year olds. There will be a day when 90 is the new 30. There will be a day when weakness, injury, and fear of movement is an outlier, not the "normal."

This is our belief. This our dream. This is our stance. We will move with boldness. We will change the world.

What about you? What will you do?
