Mark Shropshire is an OS Master Instructor and the President and CEO of Shropshire Sports Training in Longmont, Colorado. He has been coaching athletes and training professionals since 1995, with nearly three decades of experience helping people move better, get stronger, and perform when it matters.
Throughout his career, Mark has worked with and consulted for a wide range of populations, including athletes from the NFL, MLB, NHL, and professional soccer, as well as tactical and military professionals from the U.S. Marshals Service, U.S. Secret Service, SWAT teams, the Department of Defense Emergency Regional Response Team, Naval Special Warfare, and Army Special Operations. He has also worked extensively with collegiate athletes across Division I, II, and III programs.
From 1998 to 2002, Mark served as the Director of Cal Ripken Jr. Sports Acceleration. He has been active with Original Strength since 2012 and has been teaching and mentoring professionals nationally and internationally since 2015.
Mark collaborated with Tim Anderson and Chip Morton on the book Original Strength Performance: The Next Level and co-created the OS Performance Workshop, a continuing education experience focused on applying foundational movement to strength and performance. He also created the Prime, Pattern Power Workshop in collaboration with Johns Hopkins Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, bridging clinical insight with real-world movement and performance demands.
Mark holds a Master’s degree in Human Performance from the University of Montana. His work is centered on simple principles, high standards, and practical systems that build resilient, capable bodies across sport, tactical, and everyday settings.
